Maja Salvador has no problem with Kris Aquino

Actress Maja Salvador insisted that she has no problem with television host Kris Aquino, who is known to be very close with Kim Chiu.

The actress even said she's willing to guest on "Aquino and Abunda Tonight" to promote her debut album, "Believe," although she did say she would want to have both Aquino and co-host Boy Abunda during the interview.

"Dapat dalawa po sila," Salvador said at the launch of her album on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Salvador even addressed Aquino as "Tita Kris," given that she is the niece of actor Philip Salvador, who has a son, Joshua, with the "Kris TV" host.

"Walang awkward. Sobrang love ko 'yan, si Tita Kris," says Salvador.

Aquino had repeatedly expressed her support and love to Chiu despite criticisms from some fans who have accused her of being unfair.

An Instagram user recently pointed out that Aquino has been guesting Chiu on her morning show "Kris TV" too often without giving a chance to Maja Salvador, who is the current girlfriend of Chiu's ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson.

Despite this, Salvador said she doesn't mind that Aquino is closer to Chiu.

"Totoo naman na close din si Tita kay Kim. Walang dapat paglabanin kung sino ang mas close kay Tita Kris. Ang importante doon ay okay din kami ni Tita Kris pero 'yun nga lang mas nakakasama niya talaga si Kim. Pero ako kasi since every day ang taping ko ng 'The Legal Wife' di ako nakakapag-guest sa kanya. Pero okay kami," Salvador stressed.

Ending rift with Kim

In the interview, Salvador also reiterated her hopes that she will eventually reconcile with Chiu, who was once her best friend.

"In time, magugulat na lang kayo. Gugulatin na lang namin kayo na ay okat na pala kayo,'" Salvador said.

"Believe lang tayo baka in time. Kasi magkakasalubong at magkakasalubong kami at isang taon na 'yon. At di ba tao kaming lahat na pwede kaming magpatawad, pwede kaming mag-start ulit at pwede naming i-accept kung ano ang sitwasyon natin ngayon? Matatanda na din kasi. Ikaw mismo dapat alam mo kung ano ang dapat i-let go," she said.

Asked if she's making a way to finally end her rift with her "Ina Kapatid Anak" co-star, Salvador merely replied: "Pray for us."

Kris Aquino won't reveal the identity of her new love

Host-actress Kris Aquino appealed to her fans to give her the privacy she needs when it comes to her love life.

On Instagram, Aquino posted a quote about relationships: "A true relationship is two unperfect people refusing to give up on each other."

She admitted that she has read all the speculations and questions about her new love, and blamed herself for giving hints in her recent posts.

She went on to promise that she will be "less personal" on social media as she chooses not to reveal the identity of the man she is now dating.

"I can't pretend I haven't read your comments, questions & speculations about my relationship status & part of that is my fault for sharing so much of my heart in these posts, but I want what we have to work so forgive me for choosing to not reveal his identity... Yes I know, I make my living, a very rewarding one from your support & goodwill, but I owe myself this chance at lasting happiness," she wrote.

"We are a work in progress & each day has challenges, yet each day I also feel he encourages me to be a better me. I'm learning understanding, respect, and maturity because he is intelligent, hard working, patient, simple, humble, funny, grounded & stable, YES he is what I've been praying for... my IG posts will be less personal in the coming days, but I'll still try to not be boring. On her morning show "Kris TV" aired on Monday, Aquino hinted that the guy is in his mid-40's.

Lance Raymundo speaks up about his gym accident

Singer-actor Lance Raymundo is not blaming anyone over the freak gym accident he had last week which left his face crushed.

In an article published on The Philippine Star on Tuesday, Raymundo was quoted as saying "it was nobody's fault."

“It was an accident. Nobody wanted it to happen,” he said.

Raymundo said it was just unfortunate that the 80-pound barbell fell on his face.

“When I came to my senses wala na akong ilong, wala na akong mukha,” he said. “It was traumatic.”

Nonetheless, the singer-actor is grateful to be still alive.

“Had the barbell fell an inch higher, I would have been a goner. Or if it fell four inches lower, it would have struck my neck and the result would have been fatal just the same,” he said.

According to the article, Raymundo is set to undergo a five-hour operation on Tuesday in an undisclosed hospital.

“My doctors assured me that I would look the way I did before the accident,” he said.

Over the weekend, Raymundo’s mother sent a statement to ABS-CBN News detailing what happened to her son.

“The person who was assisting him on his workout accidentally dislodged the barbel on top of Lance's face when he leaned forward,” she said. “Luckily, with God's grace, his skull and his neck were spared as injuring those two parts would have been fatal.”

Raymundo’s mom also thanked the people who rushed her son to the hospital for it was because of them that the singer-actor was given immediate medical attendance.

In the same statement, Raymundo’s mother advised producers, casters, production houses, movie outfits and directors with whom her son has contractual obligations that he will be out of commission for three months.

Both Raymundo and his mom are appealing for prayers so he may immediately recuperate.

Globe Telecom extends free Facebook service

Globe Telecom extends free Facebook service

Globe Telecom announced on Tuesday that it is extending its free Facebook promo offer until April 24.

The free service, which was launched in October last year, allows Globe subscribers to access the social networking site with no data charges.

Globe’s vice president for Mobile Data Services Jenny Granada-Echvarria said the offer was extended “due to the overwhelming response” from subscribers.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg recently showcased the promo at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, citing the partnership with Globe in connecting more Filipinos to the internet.

Under the promo, Globe users can access Facebook on feature phones and smartphones across all Facebook mobile platforms whether via the Facebook app or Facebook’s mobile site m.facebook.com without charges.

Customers are also notified if they will incur data charges once a link that leads out of Facebook is clicked to prevent “bill shock.”

To view content outside Facebook, prepaid users with insufficient load can also “loan” a 10MB data plan for only P10, which will be deducted on their succeeding top-up.

Maja Salvador speaks up about Gerald's Mother

Amid reports that the family of her boyfriend does not approve of her, actress Maja Salvador on Tuesday insisted that she is getting along well with Gerald Anderson's mother Evangeline "Vangie" Opisima.

"Sobrang okay kami ni Tita Vangie. Grabe lang 'yung respeto ko din sa kanya kaya ayaw ko ding magsalita ng magsalita. Importante din sa akin 'yung fans nila. So ako hindi ako parte ng love team kaya kami tahimik," Salvador said in an interview during the launch of her debut CD "Believe" on Tuesday.

As a girlfriend, Salvador admitted that she's making an extra effort to be close to Anderson's mother. "Dapat naman po," she said.

Salvador also appealed to her critics to stop comparing her relationship with Anderson's mother, who was once close to the actor's ex-girlfriend Kim Chiu.

"Huwag na nating i-compare. Ano ba 'yon?" she said.

Salvador also spoke on rumors that she and Anderson are now having problems.

"Sa industriya natin kung masyado kang nagpapa-interview or updated kayong lahat, publicity. O kapag tahimik, naghiwalay na. So nandoon din kami sa parang bahala na lang kung may question about sa amin. May mga bagay na pwede kaming sagutin, may mga bagay na hindi. Kasi siguro para mag-work ang isang relationship ay kahit paano magtira kayo ng para sa inyong dalawa," Salvador said.
In a recent interview on "Buzz ng Bayan," Anderson cleared that her mother is not against Salvador.

"No, of course not. 'Yung nanay ko, siguro alam ng lahat na ganun talaga siya. She’s a very strong woman, napaka-strong niya at ganun talaga siya magsalita. Pero hindi naman siya nakikialam. Okay naman sila (ni Maja), steady, they’re doing good. Basta okay naman. Sobrang happy ako, sobrang blessed ko na lahat ng parte ng buhay is coming together," Anderson said.
