Ways for Building Best Backlinks foryour Site

Ways for Building Best Backlinks foryour Site

As Google continues to roll out update after update, it appears that the days of black hat SEO are slowly coming to an end. The quantity of backlinks pointing to a site is slowly becoming irrelevant. And in its place, there’s a new focus on both quality and relevancy.
It follows that if you want to Rank in Google, you need to take a much more measured and focused approach towards backlink building. Fail to do so and it’s only a matter of time before you are penalized.

Here are eight simple tips for building backlinks that are likely to help, rather than hinder, your attempts to get on the first page of Google.

Stop Taking Shortcuts

First off, there’s the small matter of shortcuts, you have to stop taking them. The best backlinks take time to build and they’re not created using automation. They’re also not purchased by the thousand on fiverr.com.

The days of lazy internet marketers turning a profit are well and truly over. If you want to rank, short cuts need to be replaced with hard work and careful planning. These days, poorly thought out SEO campaigns will harm your site before they help it.

Use a Wide Variety of Sources

Your backlinks should be both no follow and do follow. They should come from both high PR and low PR sources. Focus on web directories one week and article directories the next.

The point is to mix things up as much as possible. The more variety in your backlinks, the more natural they are going to look. And the more natural they look, the less likely you are to be penalized.

Use Varied Anchor Text

One of the most common causes of Google penalties right now is duplicate anchor text. The reason for this is simple, when backlinks are created organically i.e. by someone other than you, the odds of them all having identical anchor text are slim to none.

Your primary keywords should be used no more than twenty percent of the time. There’s no rule that says you can’t simply use phrases such as “click here”. Have Patience
These days, another easy way to find yourself getting penalized is to simply build too many backlinks too soon. Patience has therefore never been more important.

If your site is new, limit yourself to building a hundred backlinks per month. This mightn’t seem like a lot but provided you focus on quality over quantity, a hundred backlinks is more than enough to get noticed by Google.

Be Relevant

Rather than obsessing over page rank and domain authority, obsess over relevancy. Build backlinks on sites, blogs and forums that are genuinely relevant to your niche. They look significantly more natural and therefore carry significantly more weight. Comment on relevant blogs, become an active member of relevant forums and answer relevant questions on Q and A sites. This will greatly help you in building relevant links.

Copy Your Competitors

The most challenging aspect of building relevant backlinks is simply finding the right places to build them. Instead of searching Google, why not just ask your competitors where they got theirs?

Make a list of the top ten sites ranking for your target keywords and http://opensiteexplorer.com will do the rest. You might be surprised by how easy it is to rank when you’re literally given the instructions on how to do so.

Stick to Respectable Sources

Think long and hard about who you want your site to be associated with. Backlinks built on websites that are regularly targeted by spammers are no longer going to help you.

Web and article directories can still be a valuable source of backlinks but only if you stick to the human edited variety. The same logic applies to blog commenting, if a blogger doesn’t take the time to manually approve his comment sections, don’t leave a comment.

Don’t Build Them All Yourself

Finally, there’s the small matter of link bait content, it’s never been more important.

It doesn’t matter how many updates Google releases, link bait is always going to be powerful. And the reason for this is simple, it leads to 100% natural backlinks.

Ask yourself what your target demographic is really looking for and provide it. Don’t underestimate the power of a single piece of link bait content to attract natural backlinks for years to come.

Backlinks and Social Media
Today you probably notice virtually every blog writer uses Social Sharing Plugins in on their blog.  Generally the reason for the social sharing plugin is that most Social Bookmarking sites have a really high Page Rank.  So just share your write-ups at Social Websites to get High Page Rank and site visitors too. Today this strategy is preferred and nearly every professional blog writer uses it.

Guest Posting Tips
Guest posting is an innovative way to obtain back links from popular websites. This method of making backlinks is pretty new to most internet marketers, blog writers and SMBs. However you need to follow some ideas while making a visitor post at any blog.
1. Make certain this blog site is covering same topics as of your blogs. Strategically you would want to write blog posts and articles in your niche to receive relevant back links.
2. Check to make sure the PR (Page Rank) of the website is a high Page Rank.
Blog Comments to Build Backlinks
Blog site commenting is a simple method to produce backlinks.  Some blogs and blog authors will not approve your comments.  Below are some wonderful tips to help get your comments approved on websites and blogs which then will generate your backlink.
1. Do not write one line remarks such as: Thank You, Great Post, I really liked your article etc.  What you should do is take a little time to read the blog and write comments associated with the article and anything adding value to the post or article is great.
2. Do not add links in your remark body. There is usually a place where you can add your website address when you are commenting.
3. Constantly use your real name while commenting.

Site Submission to Web Directories
A web directory is a website broken down into categories and subcategories. Usually you have to submit your website and it will be reviewed and possibly added to the directory based upon certain criteria. General directories and niche directories are two basic types of directories. Directories are given terrific importance for their online search engine friendliness and the quality of back links.
Web Directory sites are primarily reliable sources of quality one-way backlinks. Submitting to directories are only useful if they provide some direct traffic or otherwise a quality backlink.  Make sure the directory has a high Page Rank (PR) before you submit your site to the directory. The web directories that can produce traffic and/or give you “link juice” due to the high page rank are the ones you want to locate and submit your website to.

Quick and Easy Backlinks

Why you should use these methods...

Most of the links that you can create by following the tips below are links which would develop naturally as your web site grows in popularity. This can be by other webmasters checking out a new competitor or just from people curious to know more about you and your web site.

However this should not stop you from following the tips and creating the backlinks for yourself. Each of the web sites below will help your web site in one of many ways, some by a big amount and some by a small amount.

Some will link directly to your web site, some will link to each other using your domain as a reference. This will build up a small network of web sites all linking to each other and you. They are all equally valuable in building up your link profile.

At the end of the day, this lens will probably take you about 10 minutes to read through. To actually go through and create the links will take you 5 minutes, give or take. So for 15 minutes, what have you got to lose.
Where ever you go on the web you will hear differing opinions on the value of nofollow links and their importance in building up your web site's link profile.

A few words on NoFollow vs DoFollow

A link is a link is a link....

The simple fact is that a link is a link, it doesn't matter if the link is dofollow or nofollow. There are a couple of reasons why:

1) Google, MSN and Yahoo are the only ones which actively support the nofollow attribute. It is not currently supported by the W3C and there are literally hundreds of smaller search engines which don't recognize the attribute.

2) In the eyes of the big three search engines they are looking for natural links. That is links that are not specifically placed to manipulate the search engine results. Just as you would expect a web site to naturally accrue links with unusual anchor text the search engines are likely to expect you to have links which have the nofollow tag. A web site without any nofollow links would be highly unusual in this day and age.

3) By not including a link on a web site just because it is nofollow means that the potential for people to click on the link is lost. And when it comes down to it, traffic is what is most important.
