What is the reason of Kaye Abad and Guji Lorenzana break up

While she refused to give details about her breakup with Guji Lorenzana, her boyfriend of three years, Kaye Abad admitted that "some things just don't work."

The 31-year-old actress, who first confirmed the separation in February, was asked about the topic during a recent press conference for the March 21 finale of the primetime series "Annaliza."

"Gano'n lang talaga, e. Trial and error. Nagkataon lang siguro na error na naman ngayon," Abad told reporters, when asked about the reason for the breakup. "Gano'n lang talaga... May mga hindi lang talaga nag-wo-work."

Abad, who earlier admitted initiating the breakup, said she is still hurting, "kasi napamahal sa 'yo 'yung tao, nasanay ka na kasama mo siya na ganoon katagal."

"Pero kailangan ko isipin 'yung brighter side o 'yung mas importanteng side na para sa aming dalawa rin naman 'yon, na para sa future din namin," she added.

Afraid to love again?

The former couple first got acquainted in 2009 when they co-starred in the afternoon series "Bud Brothers" and "Somewhere In My Heart." At the time, Abad said Lorenzana was already forthcoming about his feelings for her.

Asked why they never confirmed being a couple, Abad recalled how she and Lorenzana gradually grew into the relationship, noting that they never had the talk of becoming officially together.

"I told him na hindi pa ako ready, dahil galing ako sa seven-year relationship ko with Chito [Miranda]," Abad said, referring to Parokya ni Edgar frontman. "Naging masugid siya, naghintay siya, ta's sabi ko, 'Hindi pa ako handa.' Tapos sabi ko, 'Nasa sa iyo iyan kung gusto mo gumive up o kung gusto mo maghintay.'"

"Naghintay siya hanggang sa naging gradual nalang, e, na parang after a year... Parang gano'n narin naman. Wala kaming anniversary. Ganoon ka-gradual 'yung nangyari, na parang understood nalang na, 'O, siguro nga tayo na,'" she narrated.
While he was open in media interviews about his hopes of settling down with Abad, Lorenzana, according to the actress, did not propose to her during their relationship.

"Hindi pa rin naman ako handa," she said. "Hindi ko pa nararamdaman na kailangan ko na mag-settle down."

Asked if she is afraid to fall in love again, the actress answered, "Actually, hindi. Mabilis ako ma-fall, e. Lalo na pag 'yung weakness nandoon sa taong 'yon. Pero ngayon, medyo natatakot. Ngayon ko nararamdaman 'yung takot na siguro, hindi na muna."
